What this site is
WashNumbers publishes cost data, pricing guides and calculators for the pressure washing trade in the United States. Everything on it is free to read and free to use.
We are an independent publisher. We do not sell pressure washing services, we do not sell equipment, and we do not take referral fees for sending you to a contractor.
What this site is not
Nothing here is professional advice. Not legal, not financial, not tax, not engineering, and not a substitute for a written quote from a contractor who has looked at your property.
The figures we publish describe what other people have charged or published. They do not tell you what your job will cost, what you should charge, or whether a particular price is fair in your market. Prices move with region, season, access, condition and a dozen other things we cannot see from here.
Estimates and calculators
The calculators on this site return estimates. They run on assumptions we have documented, and those assumptions will not match every job.
Use them to sanity-check a number, to compare options, or to understand which variables move the total. Do not use them as the sole basis for a bid, a purchase, a contract or any other decision with money attached. If a calculator returns a figure that looks wrong for your situation, it probably is, and your own judgement should win.
We correct errors when we find them and when readers report them. We do not guarantee that every figure on this site is current or free of mistakes.
Our data, and what you may do with it
We publish our pricing dataset openly because the trade has no reliable public benchmark and we would like one to exist.
You may quote summary figures from our datasets and reports in articles, presentations, trade press, training material and commercial documents, provided you credit WashNumbers and link to the page the figure came from. You may download the dataset, filter it, and check any observation against its original source. No permission request is needed and no fee is charged.
You may not republish our datasets, articles, calculators or charts wholesale as your own, strip the attribution, or present our figures as though they were collected by you.
The site’s text, charts, calculator code and page design remain ours. Our published datasets carry the citation format shown on the page that hosts them.
If you contribute to our surveys
Some of our data comes from working contractors who answer our pricing survey.
If you take part, you are giving us permission to publish your figures in aggregated form, which means combined with other responses and reported as ranges or summary statistics.
We do not publish the name of your business, your address, your contact details or any individual response that could identify you, unless you have separately and explicitly asked to be credited as a contributor. Contributors who ask to be credited are listed with a link to their business.
You can ask us to remove your response at any time by writing to contact@washnumbers.com. Once a figure has been published inside an aggregate that has already gone out, we cannot unpublish that specific edition, but we will exclude your response from every edition after that.
Links to other sites
We link to manufacturers, suppliers, trade associations, government agencies and other publishers, either as sources or because they are useful.
We do not control those sites and we are not responsible for what they publish, what they charge, or how they handle your data. A link is not an endorsement, and in a few places we link to a page specifically to disagree with it.
Advertising
This site may carry third-party advertising. Where it does, the advertising is served by external networks and the ads shown are chosen by them, not by us.
Advertising never influences which products, suppliers or methods we recommend, and no advertiser has any say in our data, our methodology or our conclusions. How advertising cookies work, and how to control them, is covered in our privacy policy.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of this site or from decisions made on the basis of anything published here. That includes lost profits, mispriced jobs, equipment bought that turned out to be wrong for you, and business decisions that did not work out.
This site is provided as it is. We do not promise it will always be available, always correct, or free of interruption.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Acceptable use
Do not attempt to break into the site, scrape it in a way that degrades it for other readers, or use it to distribute anything unlawful. Do not submit false data to our surveys. The value of an industry benchmark depends entirely on the people filling it in being honest, and one bad actor costs everyone else.
Changes
We update these terms when the site changes. The date at the top tells you when they were last revised. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised version.
Who operates this site and which law applies
WashNumbers is operated by Diego Hernández from Spain, for a readership based mainly in the United States.
These terms are governed by Spanish law, and any dispute that cannot be settled directly falls to the courts of Spain. If you are a consumer, this does not remove any protection you have under the law of the country where you live.
